I just wanted to introduce my self as I am a new member of this forum :) I am honored to join the forum! I have literally been waiting since June, but the wait was worth while! I've been reading the posts by daydreamers everyday and I am so glad that I finally have a place to express my love and border line obsession with Adele with people who won't judge me ;)

Hi chuffed_21! I also have been reading the posts everyday even when I am supposed to be sleeping. I also joined becuase everybody that I know thinks that I am way obsessed with anything Adele and then I started reading the posts and I realized that I fit right in with everybody on the forum. Hello everyone, Robbie here. I'm 42 and originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina USA, but I now live in Knoxville, Tennessee USA which also happens to be the regional city to the birth place of one of Adele's idol's, Dolly Parton. Dolly was born in nearby Sevierville, Tennessee. Sevierville is about a 20 minute drive from us. Dolly also has theme park called Dollywood - http://www.dollywood.com - in nearby Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We are also home to the worldly popular bluegrass country radio station WDVX - http://www.wdvx.com - which plays songs like the one from The Steel Drivers that Adele covered on 21. I have to admit that I wasn't much of a fan of Adele's until I watched the Grammys a few weeks ago and saw her clean sweep. It brought back memories for me of watching Christopher Cross' clean sweep in 1980. No, I mostly listed to music from the 1970's and 80's since I grew up in that error and I'm not much of a fan of rap music either. But then I viewed the Live @ Royal Albert Hall videos on You Tube and now I'm hooked. I wish I could be 19 or 21 again because that was the age when I got my first apartment or as you all in the UK call it a Flat, on my own. I also admire Adele for what she has gone through with her vocal cord problems in her throat because my mom also had to have throat surgery back in 1994 @ Vanderbilt University Medical Center - http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/ in Nashville because of a cancerous tumor the size of a golf ball in her throat. I'm glad that Adele has made a full recovery, but even if she could no longer hit the high notes, she could always be a comedian instead because she has a great sense of humor. I truly love you, Adele!! I'm not a daydreamer though. I'd rather roll in the deep with you instead. God bless.
