Here's a video I took at Greek of SLY. She stops in the beginning of the song to dedicate it to Benny, who I think is her publicist.
One of the reasons you have to love this girl. Who else would do that? Awesome.

You tell me. I wouldn't know as I was on two pop, or rather rock, concerts in my life, and that was looong ago when I was a teenager. I have no grounds to compare her to others when it comes to concerts, as hers are the only ones I'm watching now.

I had just gotten the phone and my friend was shooting this for me. On the other side of me was the guy with the deep voice (Adele asked us if he was my Laura).

Like during the concert? Is it recorded?

I've been to a lot of shows and I can't really remember anyone stopping mid song like she does (on purpose). They've fallen or forgotten words or passed out. Drunken slurring, sure. That I've seen plenty of.
Remember when she stopped during OAO coz she "hit a shit note"? Any other singer would have kept going like it never happened. Just like any other singer would have finished SLY and then dedicated it to the publicist. Remember on Live at Letterman when she searched for someone in the crowd and told them she had just talked with a mutual friend? Or how she waved at someone in the balcony that she obviously knew? That's Adele.
I have RITD from the Greek taped.There's a part when the stage lights just go out completely. She keeps singing and a few seconds later when they came back on she had the funniest wtf? look on her face and the way she looked up at the lights was hilarious. It was like the Paris show when she says f@cking behave to the lights. Classic.

On a side note, I remember Kelly Clarkson saying that she had been watching Adele live concerts on youtube and that she was obsessed. There is a reason why everybody loves Adele in concert. Btw, the last time I saw Kelly live a couple months ago, I noticed that she has emulated certain characteristics of Adele's in concert. Still not anywhere near Adele at all.

She asked if he was my Laura during the show, yes. Some one probably has it recorded I'd imagine. I was busy high-fiving my Laura. Lol.

I remember when she did it during TIA at the RAFH. I was very impressed that she did it, especially considering that she knew it was being recorded for the DVD that was to be distributed all over the world. I remember her stopping SLY at Hammersmith Apollo because she got distracted thinking about her godsister. Or stopping Daydreamer during the Tabernacle concert to dedicate it to Laura - although in this case the dedication was practically incorporated into the song.

Any other singer would have kept going like it never happened. Just like any other singer would have finished SLY and then dedicated it to the publicist.

You are probably right. It's funny how on one hand she seems to feel unsure about her ability to perform and at times is full of excuses, and on another hand she is confident enough to do things few other artists would dare to do. Like calling her mother during the Hollywood Bowl concert. It could be very risky thing to do for anybody who wouldn't have the public in the palm of their hand. ;) With her it's all just natural, done so matter-of-factly, and nobody protests, the public just goes with it and loves it.

Unfortunately not. I think the version I have is just the songs. Is the version with talks available somewhere?

That's great! She clearly took it for granted that you know what she is talking about, who Laura is. You must be pals! :D

Ouh! Shades the whole story is awesome, I can´t imagine that such spectacular moments you live in these concerts and sometimes count must be like to live them again, you have such luck....
