Turning Tables Fifth Single?

Postby German » Sun May 20, 2012 2:33 am

I've been hearing rumours that "Turning Tables" could be released as the fifth single in North America, I'm pretty sure that it isn't true, but does anyone know for sure? I heard it was released a single in Australia, Italy and the Netherlands.

I hope not... At first I was all for TT as a fifth single but if Adele and her crew is not gonna do any promotions to help the single along the way then NO... X_X. I mean they cant expect all her singles to simply do well without promoting it at all. SFFTR was a different story but look at RHI right now. #16 is going to be its peak on Hot 100 because no promotions were done at all.

Also since her album has sold so much her singles arent going to perform as well since so many people already owns the song.

This video does claim TT to be the fifth single by the guy who co-wrote TT. This video was taken around GRAMMYs time.

I do hope its not a single though. I would only say yes if it does affect her song coming out at the end of the year.

Yeah they claimed it was her 5th single from 21 on our hot hits or top 40 or whatever I was listening to yesterday...but that's Aus.
Do they not automatically release a single everywhere or do they pick and choose?

Well from recent news it doesnt seem like it will become the 5th single despite that it was released as a 5th single in other countries. Some said that after her "video" aka NBC special, that there will be no more promotions.

Well the song that I'd been hearing at a local radio station here in Puerto Rico is ONE AND ONLY but I don't know if this is the one that'll be the next hit by Adele 21.

It should be interesting what happens after the Matt Lauer interview/showingof RAH. They chose IBW inbstead of RHI to show as one of the six clips from RAH. TT isn't even on the playlist for that special, so I have to give my opinion as a no to releasing it as a single. If anything, IBW may get some random airplay on some AC stations or possibly CW stations and ITunes sales for the single may go up, but I don't think it will go anywhere high. Also, some folks who only bought RITD, and SLY on ITunes, may go ahead and buy whole album after hearing SFTTR and IBW from RAH. Of course, I am guessing here and based on exposure from a special like that, we will surely see sales increase for a week or so (not that she needs it but another week at #1 would be nice!). Otherwise, I guess she will be absent until the fall with possible Bond release. Fingers crossed she does something at the Olympics.

Actually you're right about I'll Be Waiting getting some radio airplay. Currently its being played on Tripe A format radios and it is currently sitting at #33 with 99 Spins at the moment. Its been slowly moving up I suppose :). Btw Rumour Has It went #1 on Tripe A.
