Missing: Matt Lauer's Personality.

Adele is such a happy and giggly person (with the greatest cackle ever) and the fact that she only laughed once says it all about this interview....
Matt Lauer did a lousy job as an interviewer and I just felt like he wasted Adele's time. It was so great to hear and see her again but apart from that, nothing else was gained by that interview.
Like most of you said, any Daydreamer could have done a better job.... Maybe we should send Matt to do an internship with Carr, Ross and Norton

i also thought it was boring.i think if matt lauer was loose and funny then adele would have been relax and become loose and funny,and we would have saw her funny personality more..she looked bored to me. RAH parts were not needed..to me anyway because their not her best vocal performance and if a person who's not a fan saw this interview and saw the RAH parts their first thoughts are..this chick cant sing!..so i really didnt like this interview BUT it was nice to see adele.

Btw., in the trailer there was the piece where she was asked about what was the strangest rumour she has heard about herself. It's not there in the (cut) versions I've seen. Have they edited it out all together?

I just spent half an hour typing what I wanted to say, and my session had logged out and it got lost. I'm not writing it again. F*ck, Sh*t, Pr*ck, Assh*ole, how's that for swearing Matt Lauer?? You boring stick in the mud. Where's drunk Kathy Lee Gifford when you need her??One word for the interview: safe. Whoever directed the questions, etc, it was safe. If Delly has turned into this, I'm sad. If this is all we will ever see of her, then I'm thankful to God there's youtube so I can see who and what she was before. If she has to trun into a recluse (her words) just to keep herself and her family out of the tabloids, then I'm sad again. If she can't give personal info in interviews and tell the real stories behind her songs, it will really suck and I'll be even more sad. If we are permanently stuck with "professional" interviews and not sit down comfy chats with funny people, I'm super sad. I hope she sold more dvds and more cds cause I want more people to love her, I just wish they got to see the old Delly and hear her sing the way she can, not the way she did with ruptured vocal polyps. I hope newbies want to know more and go to youtube and see funny interviews and amazing performances, cause that's who she really is.

A couple things.

Someone said Adele was capable of turning an interview around, etc. I'm sure she's perfectly capable of doing that in conversation with her friends, but she's very respectful and listens closely in interviews and always takes her lead from the interviewer. If he or she is funny or interesting, she's more than willing to be drawn out. This girl loves to talk and laugh. She looked stiff and nervous here, and Matt Lauer did nothing to engage her.

Someone else suggested that Adele's teams set up limits for the interview, but they could have easily specified "nothing about her love life," or whatever, and left WORLDS OF MATERIAL to cover--all sorts of funny and trivial shit that viewers would have loved to hear, like the stories she tells on Alan Carr. That stuff isn't even necessarily true in every detail but we'd still be falling off our chairs and loving her. This was a wasted opportunity in the middle of a serious Adele drought. Call @drop4drop. We need a well!

OMG, this interview has definitely brought more harm than good, I hope you are exaggerating a bit here you guys and that the interview was not so bad really. Although there is no question that there are a few comments that sound very sad.

However, despite that it was not the best interview according to the pieces I've seen and the comments I read, stay calm, all is not perfect, we expected more because he gave much fanfare, but these things happen. Positive mind Now!! let us not take the heat of the moment, Adele is not changing and will change and no intention to seek justifications, I think Delly it was the victim of questions uninteresting and boring, maybe Matt lauer victim of the market for which works, but as I'm sure Adele is in your next interview again see the girl super spicy fun and always with a smile makeover.

Not sure why people are upset with how Matt did on the interview. I watched the whole thing and never thought that he was doing a poor job o_o
