Ditto - but it is a great tribute to Adele to have Celine Dion cover your song note for note. Celine just doesn't put the same feeling behind the words that Adele does.

As far as I know this soul and emotion are an essence of the soul music as a type, and that's where Adele would fit in in as a soul singer. Wikipedia anyway lists Adele under "blue-eyed soul" and "British soul".

I guess we basically agree, it might be just problem with wording.

I am not a Celine Dion fan not at all but she has an amazing voice and can sing pretty much anything.
Yeah the cover was one of the best i heard of RITD but still its lacking in terms of emotion to me has no soul .Yeah its almost perfect techically but for me thats not what RITD is about

yep agree .. Celine has an amazing voice but is too "robot "a way of covering it me think as there is no emotion ! Sorry Céline but noone can cover Delly as well as herself hehe wink wink oi oi !!

Wow, this is great. I'm having goosebumps listening to it. I've always been a fan of Celine Dion going way back my childhood days, and now a big fan of Adele...I never thought I'd hear it. But it's awesome.

IMO, a voice needs to be much more than technically perfect.

It's funny when people in social media says that singer "x"and "y" are able to do much more with their ​​voice while singing (eg Christina Aguilera) and because of that, precisely, they are better than Adele.

That is way too dumb.

These people pretend not to know that Adele's voice, besides being absurdly powerful, it's RICH and BEAUTIFUL.

Adele's voice, in my ears, besides being so delicious that captures attention in a second, it also reaches all the emotions and transits from one emotion to another in a way that is impossible for the listener not to see inside Adele or not to feel what Adele feels.

THAT is rare. imo.

THAT's one of the main reasons why technically perfect singers do not get the same level of success of Adele, imo.

Actually THAT and .. her powerful and wonderful lyrics, her beautiful personality, her cuteness, her beauty, her intelligence, her honesty, her dignity, her refreshingly down-to-earth attitude toward life, her foul mouth, her infectious laughter .......in short: all that things that make Adele a complete and really unique "package".
