This is a quote from Reuters: What is known is that the close will be called "A Symphony of British Music" and that artistic director Kim Gavin said months ago the programme would span music from "Elgar to Adele".

Whether Londoner Adele, Britain's most successful musical export of the last two years, will take part is not known.

A spokesman for the "Rolling in the Deep" singer, who is expecting her first child, was not available for comment on Wednesday

Oh, I hope she will show up at the closing ceremonies. It is all hush, hush or "mum" as they say.

Closing ceremony 'camp and cheesy': music director
(AFP) – 6 hours ago
LONDON — The London Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday will be a "beautiful, cheeky, cheesy, camp, silly and thrilling" journey through British pop history, its musical director promised.
David Arnold, composer of five James Bond scores, told the Daily Telegraph that predictions Paul McCartney and Adele would perform were "scarily accurate", but would not confirm growing rumours that reclusive singer Kate Bush would appear.

Sigh. They're gonna just string us along aren't they?

According to Norfolk on ukmix SLY will be performed, but it's not said that by Adele. He does not give any source to this information...

SP. Ok, checked the Telegraph article and that's probably Norfolk's source.

Well, being amost Swedish I can't forget Söderling fighting to win his few points. ;) I hope he will get better on time to go back on court, but so far it seems very unclear.

Shouldn't she avoid stressful situations now? I would rather hope that her music will be used one way or another. :)

She looks like " walking pavements" is a job right now. As much as I would love to see her perform, I don't think she needs the stress during her first pregnacy. Just have to wait for Fall.
