21 returns to BB Top ten for 79th Week!!! Yes!

Adele's "21," climbing 12-10 (23,000; down 2%)
"21" has now earned 79 nonconsecutive weeks in the top 10 -- the third-longest run in the top 10 since 1963 (when our mono and stereo album charts combined into one tally). Only Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A." (84 weeks) and "The Sound of Music" (109) soundtrack logged longer top 10 runs.

What more is there to say, all without a re-release or cheap ass, bargain basement, desperate move sale!

Not that I'm against the re-release if there is some new music on it, maybe some liner notes with handwritten lyrics (please), but I would really like to see her overtake the Boss without this. Then re-release and hit a level no one else will ever be able to touch!

So, shades, what do you think the odds are of passing Bruce without a re-release? I don"t think he did a re-release of the whole album did he? I never would have paid attention to this back then but I can't find anything on the web that indicates he did.

I know he re-released Born To Run, not sure about Born In The USA in entirety.
I know singles were remixed and charted from Born in the USA.
I do know that he had seven top ten singles from Born in the USA and that he toured for two years non-stop supporting it. And all this during heyday of music industry and before illegal downloading.

Having said all that, I think it will be hard for 21 to get 84 weeks without any promo at all. hard but not impossible. This is 21 after all and holidays are coming. If she has Bond and Grammy nom for RAH video...
It would still take a while to reach, with the strong new release schedule coming later this month and year.
It would push back the re-release too far to wait, imo. They need to release during the holiday season.
