Hi albright_paige
I'm a huge fan of Adele and have been following her since I first discovered her myspace page in 2007. She only had a few songs up on her page back then but I knew instantly the first time I heard her that she was going to be huge. I've seen her in concert 3 times in various sized venues, from a tiny 400 room night club - really up close, to a small concert hall - where we managed to situate ourselves right on the edge of the stage (in awe), and then at the Hollywood Bowl where she blew 17,000 people away. I got to meet her briefly after the Hollywood Bowl gig, and got photos and an autograph; she was quite lovely signing for everyone who waited for her to come out after the show. Ben, her guitar player, and Miles, her piano player we're hanging around outside the Bowl with the crowd before Adele came out and I got to chat with them for a bit too. They're really nice guys who also happen to be incredibly talented artists. We've got tix to see her show when she comes through our city in May and I can't wait. The venue got upgraded from a small general admission standing room music hall to a 2000 seated theatre. Our seats are pretty good, though not as close as I'd like, but we are feeling pretty lucky to have got tix as it was. I knew when I saw that she was booked into the first venue, before 21 got released, that there would be a venue upgrade - I mean, I was shocked they'd booked her into such small rooms all though out this tour initially. In some ways it's kind of sad she's commanding such huge audiences because she really is a gem to see in a small venue, which is not to say she isn't a gem to see in a huge venue, because she is.
As for me, I work in the arts sector and enjoy a lot of cultural and music events, but never have I enjoyed seeing/hearing anyone as much as our Adele. I started collecting videos of her on youtube in early 2008 because I wanted to sort of catalogue her amazing career and story somehow. I just love her story. Long my she reign!

Hello =D

I'm Reba, and I'm from New York born and raised. I LOVE Adele. I think it's becoming a bit of an obsession, ._. Ha! =D
I would say i hopped on the bandwagon a bit late, compared to others on here. I first heard of her around the time when she was promoting 21. I knew nothing of 19. Then after I heard Rolling in the Deep i was hooooooooked. I immediately found her old songs on Youtube and bought 19 from Amazon and new every word of every song on that album WAY before 21 released. She's the reason why i was motivated (and accomplished) fixing the sound on my PC! <<< Long story, I'll share if you'd like =)
While waiting for 21 to release, i fed my fascination for her and her music, by watching old and newer interviews and performances, and she just grew on me! Both as an artist and as a person. I love how she's strong minded, witty, and sweet. She has the best voice of this generation, does not rely on gimmicks, ROCKS live, she's one hell of a writer, has an easy and genuine connection with her fans, and to top it all off her band is AH-MAZIN'!
Then 21 released and i bought the album twice (CD and iTunes) and i still can't stop listening to it! Her voice enters my ears and makes me laugh, dance, and cry inside all at the same time! I can FEEL her emotions through her songs, which is new for me. Adele is my Etta James, lol! She's the only artist where I can honestly say "I love EVERY song of theirs!" Both albums are FLAWLESS. I absolutely adore her!!! I'm bummed that I couldn't get tickets in time to see her live in NY, but i guess i'll catch her next time!:(

I just wish her the best of luck with all her shows, and that she gets lots of rest! Oh, and also, THAT SHE HAS ONE HELL OF A F*CKING BIRTHDAY NEXT WEEK!!! =D

I enjoyed reading what you both have said, but It's 3:00 am here and I'm still up! Good night!

awwh yay thanks for replying and introducing yourselves! I love getting to hear everyones story! I guess I might as well share mine now too!
Anyway, I've had like half of the 19 album for like yearsss and Hometown Glory sat in the position as my favorite song ever, but it wasn't until they added the "finish the album" feature on itunes that I bought the rest. and when I went to finish my album sometime this past winter I saw the little thing for 21 and I was like agheoapgehyagtopaytpa haha so then I just immediatly hit the "pre-order" button and then I made one of my friends buy it cause we were in a play together at the time and it would be released right around the time that we would be doing our performances so I was like "I need someone to get addicted to this with me" so he bought it and such and I was seriously hooked RIGHT away and so was he but not as much and it started to turn into a bit of an obsession with me and then on my tumblr and such I started posting and reblogging all about her and then I tried to get a ticket for her Dallas concert but they were sold out :( SO I found stubhub and convinced my mom to let me get a ticket, but I had to use my own money. andd well I don't work but I babysit and such and I was saving up for a new camera but I went ahead and bought one with what I had. I didn't have enough for two though so I spent like a month trying to convince someone to buy a ticket to go with me but eventually my mom broke down and bought it with what she had and what I had earned in the time inbetween. THEN I finally found someone to go with me. We aren't really close friends but she's in my theater class and such and she's super excited to go. SO yeah my story isn't very interesting but I shared anyway (: sorry that I don't use good grammer haha. I tend to not care when it comes to telling stories:P

I'm from the Netherlands, married and mom of a 2-year old son, but it's like I'm going trough puberty again.
SOOOO LOVE ADELE! When her first single came out here, I was hooked! (make you feel my love)
I wasn't really fond of Chasing pavements though.
Rolling in the deep made my a true fan! I bought 21 and couldn't stop listening!
Later I bought 19 as well and I really like it now. It toke a while to learn the songs. You hear her british accent more on this album. Which I like!
21 is a bit more mature and her voice is more developed.
I read every interview and play her songs every day! At my wurk I promoted her CD. All my colleagues bought 21 now. So you can say I'm a bit responsible for her # 1 spot in the charts! ;)
I saw her live in Hamburg. Kost a lot of money and drove 8 hours back and forth, but it was al worth it!
Then I saw her live in Amsterdam! Kost even more money! But was AWESOME! I was be able to give her a box of cookies while she was on stage! Hope she liked it. After the gig I waited for 2 hours, but she didnt came out to sign autographs....When eventually the tourbus left, I almost had to cry...
Now I want to see her in the Uk, but it's all sold out...
There're roumours going round that she's coming back to Holland at the Heineken Music Hall in oktober. If it's true, I'm soooo gonna be there!

Adelevideos (+ Group):
1) Love that you're a connoisseur of Adele videos...you've definitely provided great footage 2) Wanted to throw out 2 more additional videos your way that I stumbled upon and ADORE. I feel they're kind of 'untapped' and a little more random so hopefully you haven't seen them yet...

1)"Rolling In The Deep"---radio station live--Netherlands? (not sure what language the DJ is speaking)
For as many clips of this song I've seen this particular one is my favorite--I also super love the DJ's reaction at the end and the fact that more and more radio station workers seem to trickle into the background to come and listen :)

2) "Right As Rain" & "My Same"--Southampton 2008 clip
I meant to click on a Southampton click from her recent tour & accidentally came upon this. But I LOVE it--it's like she's singing from the comfort of my apartment living room. With zero effort....right??? Anyways, 'My Same' is my favorite from '19' and gives me goosebumps here--so if you're short on time begin start play at 3:25.

Hi Howe!
Yes, I had seen the first video, but the one I linked to got take down, so thanks for this, it's a fabulous performance of RITD. I hadn't seen the second video, it's great. Thanks!
I think Adele's performances on radio are some of her finest. Have you ever seen her performance of Hometown Glory on CBC's Q? It's so passionate.
