**OFFICIAL BRITS NIGHT THREAD**

This is a place to talk about everything Adele.

This review from Time. They ranked all performers. None higher than Adele. We are very spoiled.

Adele, “Rolling In The Deep”
At this point, it’s actually embarrassing how effortless and easy Adele makes singing sound. In what’s only her second performance since undergoing throat surgery, she simply knocked “Rolling In The Deep” out of London’s O2′s arena and into the stratosphere. The performance defies criticism, a musical version of the end of The Matrix, when Keanu Reeves deflects all his attackers without even knowing how he’s necessarily doing it. The Londoner is at the peak of her powers two albums into what could turn out to be a remarkable career. To her credit, considering how many times she has sung “Rolling In The Deep,” Adele still infused it with a sense of menace, while retaining the majesty and soul contained within.

Grade: A+

^ aww that's our Delly! ;)

I am absolutely disgusted/angry/outraged that they cut her off and ruined her big moment at suposedly the 'biggest award of the night', i always knew that the brits were shit but they went to a new low after doing that

Girl did good. Very good. *giggles*
Boys did bad. Very bad. *tounge out*

Adele was, again, the belle of the ball. I guess performing at home after throat surgery and the Grammys was a bit nerve wrecking for our Goddess, making her sound a bit thin at some notes. But I think that's just really cute because it shows how down-to-earth she is and how she doesn't think the Brits are a joke.

Unlike the ITV and BPI producers. If I were them, I'd shut up about producing the show for like....I don't know- forever?
10 minutes to Blur?!?!?! Have they invented new genre of music? Evoked world peace? What? 'Cause they sure aren't worthy of a 10 minute out of tune rant. When Ennio Moricone, the best movie music composer got an honorary Oscar his "performance"- the speech with simultaneous translation was 3.5 minutes long. Who the eff are Blur to get twice as much time?????????????????????????????????

And the Goddess was alowed to speak for 22 seconds. The Girl who saved music industry. The girl who owns 8 Grammys and a couple of Guiness records.

So, ITV and Brits, how does it feel to know you're the biggest douchebags in the last decade and in for it for the next couple of decades?
Cause you'll always be "the douchebags who cut off the speech of the girl who saved music industry". Ouch!

What I was wondering. Why did get Blur such an award anyway??

I mean bands/artists like: The Beatles, The Police, Elton John, Eric Clapton, The Who, Queen etc. also won this award for oustanding contribution...
Why on earth did they achieve to win this award??? I only know blur from the "woohoo" song. Come on, you can't compare this with the music of The Beatles, Elton John etc!! It's an insult on their (Sir Pauls etc.) music! What's is this price worth now???

I'm still feeling insulted!! I bet Adele sold this year alone more albums then blur in their whole fucking career!!

I watched the fuse performance again this morning and like I said previously, I think she was great. A few shaky bits, but geesh, I don't agree with some of the comments. She is amazing folks, beyond anyone out there. She was nervous I'm sure and I don't think she was drinking. She sang beautifully and Time definitely got it right. Thanks for posting it shades. I think we sometimes need to be reminded she's human and not every performance will be flawless. She never disappoints with her live performances. Never! I would give my first born to hear her sing live at 50% never mind 100%. JK, I love my son! But you get my drift.
As for flipping the bird, I posted a huge comment on the msn site defending her, not that she needs it, but I couldn't resist. I just hope it fades away and we can get back to what matters, her music!
