kind request for covers

Adele,

Sending so much gratitude for the gift of your music - -

Am offering a kind and respectful request for your consideration - - would love to hear you cover Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man". Eva Cassidy also performed a superb cover of it. The latter has been posted on youtube from the private collection of Niki Lee.

Again, in much gratitude,

Debbie in Virginia USA

Hey, Debbie, that would be a good cover. I was talking to another Adele fan the other day, and we both thought Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares To You" (written by Prince) would be a cool Adele cover too. Like Paul Epworth said at the Grammys, "Adele can sing the phone book."

That is her favorite music video ever. It made her cry, so I guess there's a chance.

I don't know about the Sinead. I sometimes feel that Adele doesn't want to cover her absolute favorite songs, that she doesn't want to make them hers, but keep them apart and cherished. Make sense?

There's a petition for Adele to cover Kirk Van Houten's "Can I Borrow A Feeling?" http://www.change.org/petitions/adele-c ... a-feeling#

I have no idea if this is an actual song... Here's the first thing that came up on YT- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgCpBJF-ts0
Is that just a song that was made for the Simpsons?

I would like hear her sing 'Wuthering Height"of Kate Bush.
That song is very dear to me..
Kate Bush as a high voice while Adele her voice is very warm and she can sing both high and low..

I wonder what it would sound like...

OK, I'm going out on a limb here. I LOVE Pink Floyd and think his voice is amazing as well as his lyrical sense and melodies. Hauntingly beautiful. So, my choice is "Dark Side of the Moon" or "Comfortably Numb" two of my all time favorite Floyd songs. She mentione that she loves Bob Marley, "Could You Be Love" but I think it would be weird. I LOVE him too, btw. She also loved The Cranberries, "Linger". Don't know if it fits her voice though. Sinead is brilliant, but that song is soooo sad it makes SLY sound uplifting!
