NO TOUR IN 2012?!

This was posted in the news/articles thread, but it deserves a thread of its own.

There are two sources that say Adele will have no tour in 2012, none of those are the sun, or mirror, but we dont know either if these sources can be trusted.

Adele has been forced to cancel all US tour dates and an upcoming UK show after doctors told the singer that performing could further damage her vocal cords.

Now the singer has been advised against performing too much in the fear that over-using her voice could damage her vocal cords. Adele's physician has commented that the singer would be okay to perform a handful of one-off shows, but returning to the grind of touring and nightly performances could ruin her voice. Plans for an upcoming US tour have been canceled so that the superstar could continue on her road to recovery.

Adele has turned down multiple endorsements, as well as numerous appearances and voice promotions, including The Voice and X Factor.

About the second link, someone tweeted that guy who wrote that, and he answered back that its true, that he checked with Adele's PR team.
Of course, until we wont hear this from Adele herself, we cant be sure, but this sounds reasonable. She needs to rest and to take care of herself, but this is so sad for us!

This, for me, its devastating, I never saw her live and I hoped for a concert this year.
And God only knows when she'll tour again. It can be a lot of fucking years.
This must be even more devastating for the ones that got cancelled two times...

Adele, can you at least do a concert in London?!

Ok yes, it makes us feel sad that we wont be seeing her soon, but it probably is wise of her. She needs to recover fully, plus she might be working in the studio already? She wouldnt be able to work on new songs and tour. It is better to take it easy rather than perform too much now and then be unable to do anything else. I still think a single London concert would be a great idea though...

When she is fully recovered (& only when) she really at least needs to make up the tour dates that she cancelled. (some cities she had to cancel twice) It's the professional thing to do. Obviously, no one wants her to do that until she is ready and I don't think anyone expects some huge world tour considering the circumstances, but when she is able...she should at least make up those cancelled tour dates.

As much as I am looking forward to a new album, I really hope she doesn't rush it. She needs to give herself some time to live life and let the creative process naturally unfold and not force it. I hope she takes her time and creates another fantastic album.

Ookay, let's not get ahead of ourselves here!

First of all, there's been no tour announced, so I think it's a bit funny that the headlines say Adele cancelles 2012 tour... And second, IF she doesn't tour there's going to be some very good reason for that. I'm sure she WANTS to tour, at least to do the previously cancelled dates.

She hates to let people down and knows that a lot of people will feel let down if she doesn't tour. But if she's afraid of losing her voice or has any other reasons for not touring this year then we just have to deal with it, as devastating as it might seem. ( I know I, too, was hoping to finally see her live this year!) She has to put herself first. She really is in a place right now where she can do whatever she wants, but I can't see her not touring just because she doesn't 'feel like it'. If there'll be no tour, then that's for a good reason, whatever that reason may be.

And just for the record, I'm still hoping for a tour, or at least a few dates, so that I and all my fellow 'desperate to finally see her live' Daydreamers can have their dreams come true! Fingers crossed!

Veera, I was thinking the same.... were there any 2012 dates to begin with?
And this pretty much contradicts everything we've heard, right? Including what her surgeon has said? I guess things can change and, of course no one should overdo it, but Keith Urban and John Mayer just had the surgery and they are touring, so.......?

Yep, no dates announced, but of course everyone automatically assumed she's going to do a tour, especially because of the previous cancellations. And yes, didn't her surgeon say she can already do pretty much whatever she wants?

Oh well. This has already got to the point where I don't believe any Adele-related news unless it's Adele herself or someone directly from her management saying it.

guys, dont get me wrong, I do want whats best for Adele, I want her to be healthy and happy, but its still devastating news...

If I was her, I would probably do the same. Maybe her voice its not the only reason that she's not touring, she still needs to recover after all this success. Plus, there's Simon. I really cant blame her.

BUT IT IS STILL SO FUCKING SAD. I want to see her live more than anything.

If she's not touring, no TV shows and stuff, it means 21 is over. I dont think she's back in the studio for a new album, she's probably doing the Bond theme. A new album takes time. It could take at least 2 years. And who knows when she'll tour again...

I just hope she'll do at least a few concerts. Although, it would be hard as hell to get tickets...
