Touring anytime soon? Aussie Daydreamers

Postby amelia_adele » Wed Apr 18, 2012 12:12 pm

Hi everyone,
So i'm from Australia and i know many of you who aren't from Aus won't really have any interest in this thread, but this topic has been playing on my mind a lot.
Adele was MASSIVE in Australia and still is. 21 is at number #7 on the charts after several weeks at #1, and her songs are ALWAYS played on the radio. Everyone knows about her.
It seems very, VERY strange for an artist that is soooo successful in a country to not tour there. I know Adele has a fear of flying but it really, truly sucks not being able to see her live.
All i was hoping to get out of this thread was some other aussie daydreamers that feel the same way, so if you're an aussie let me know your thoughts on this topic! Personally, it sucks that she hasn't and probably won't tour but I never give up hope to see my idol down under.
Thanks guys x

My feelings on this topic are exactly those of yours. I truly believe that although Adele has done well in Aus she could do even better if she visited. I am often astonished when people say to me "who is Adele?"....generally I'm like "where have you been?" As I posted in the intro thread a good sleeping tablet will get her through the flight in no time at all! Sadly I don't see this happening anytime soon, if at all (please prove me wrong Adele...pleeeease).

You guys deserve a show more than any other country, imo. You support her well and she hasn't set foot over there.
I know it's her fear of flying that keeps her away, but just give her a couple of sleeping pills and there she goes! Problem solved! Lol.
I have heard rumors of concert promoters in Australia in a bidding war over her tour, so there's hope for you yet, imo.

Do you speak for Adele? I saw an interview where she said she does not run her official page, someone does for her...

When will we see her again?(no pun intended). If we have changed her life and we are a part of her life(taken from Royal Albert Hall dvd), her fans want to see her. I missed her in the US tour..actually had not heard of her yet. But I would go anywhere in the world to see a concert. I know she needs rest, really I do, and I wish her the best in love. Please hurry back..we love you Adele!!!

I feel the same way however not being part of an artists list of tour dates is the price you pay for living in this country. But I think us daydreamers need to make an effort with getting Adele to come down under!!!!!! It'd usually cost us thousands to see her because we'd have to travel sooooo far but having her here would be a dream come true although there is a huge risk at not getting tickets because so many people would want to go. She'd eithe have to do one massive show at an arena or something or do several theatre shows just to ensure that majority of her fans could see her. Anyway when we know that she is having another album come out I think then is a time to get mad with the convincing and try and get her out here

I seriously wish there was a like button on here... so many likes I would give out! haha :) Hope she does choose to come out here, I think she would really like it & we would definitely get a kick out off it as well :) and plus.. all that fresh air we have would be good for her voice :D yeah? (I really hope someone she knows reads this -- grasping straws, I know, I know Lol)

We all know how hard it is being Australian and a Daydreamer as we are all so far away from where Adele (or anyone else that can actually sing) tours and I'm sure it'd make our year if Adele came to Australia with her next album (assuming there will be one) so I'm going to suggest that we get onto some serious convincing (well, nagging with respect) around the time when Adele announces she is going to release a new album so that we can try and get Adele to come down under, I know its a while away but I just wanted to make sure Adele hadn't forgotten about her daydreamers on the other side of the world.
AND.....
I'm not sure this is going to work but I've been asked by a fellow daydreamer to ask you to like this page on facebook, I'm not sure this link is going to work but if you go on my twitter (@theOsiePosie) i'll be tweeting the link as well. Anyway please like this page if you an Australian Daydreamer. Thanks :)
