No. They only played a few seconds of RITD when the nations went in the stadium. Sorry I don´t know what nation it was any longer.

The country is El Salvador for that big moment of RITD .

Ah thank you Image . That is good to know.

I never expected her to show up, but I kept a little hope that she will, until the end of the show..

I thought they were going to have a big montage of songs during the ceremonies including a couple of Adele's, but only heard RITD during the parade of nations and it was short from what I caught. Even though they did the music through the ages, you would have thought that Adele's songs would have played then. They played Emeli Sande in the montage though towards the end of it (love Emeli too). Surely, Adele's music would have taken precedent. Maybe she will be part of closing ceremonies. 17 days and counting. I'll be waiting to hopefully catch Adele in the Olympics at some point.

I think the producers think she's too big, even for the Olympics. They're not very good with appreciating success over there especially when you're the type who doesn't like to chase it. The whole ceremony was weird and creepy. With all due respects, I'm sick of seeing McCartney and Hey Jude.

What's up with the Brits? Nobody can be bigger than The Queen and Sir Paul? I read he's also going to be at the closing ceremonies. Maybe they're pissed that she dissed them. For all we know she could be on total bed rest. It happens to pregnant women sometimes. I'm looking forward to the Queen's honors when Adele gets her OBE or CBE. Too soon for Dame Adele, though. She's too young.

Ohh thats no nice for our Queen but am sure she will be at the closing ceremony .
As for me , just wanted to share this sad news with you all .. Last Olympics in Pekin, France had a slendid mare named Ismène du Temple . She has been the only one to do a non -fault ( eventing ) , was like 40 cecius degrees and omg she was splendid !! our last horse as all others were injured ..Ismène passed 15 days ago with her baby ( pregnancy ) . there was a thunderstorm and the owners ( who are my friends ) found her laying in her shelter the next morning next to a pony .. she had died of an open fracture .. alone !! Ismène had just retired & my friends are very very down and it will take time for them to recover . RIP my dear Ismène, at least you had already given 2 lovely foals ( artificial insemination ) to your Mum and Dad , may your foalies remind them of your magnificence . I Love You Ismène , you will never be forgotten .XXXXX
ps : as for the lil story .. Ismène was discovered by a coach from the french team and they had offered the price of a house to buy her but my friend said she had no house but would keep Ismène with her whislt accepting her to be prepared for great events like the Olympics and Badminton .. Ismène has worked all her life and didn't even spend a full year at her owners after she had retired .. so sad ! Life can be so " injuste "

That is just so heart breaking about the horse. I love animals. These stories always send me for the tissues. So sorry for your friends. As you said life can be so unjust and unfair. There is a poem called " The Rainbow Bridge" which is for dog owners but it still is very comforting.
