As you said life can be so unjust and unfair. There is a poem called " The Rainbow Bridge" which is for dog owners but it still is very comforting.

As for me , just wanted to share this sad news with you all .. Last Olympics in Pekin, France had a slendid mare named Ismène du Temple . She has been the only one to do a non -fault ( eventing ) , was like 40 cecius degrees and omg she was splendid !! our last horse as all others were injured ..Ismène passed 15 days ago with her baby ( pregnancy ) . there was a thunderstorm and the owners ........ house but would keep Ismène with her whislt accepting her to be prepared for great events like the Olympics and Badminton .. Ismène has worked all her life and didn't even spend a full year at her owners after she had retired .. so sad ! Life can be so " injuste "

Oh Bennie, I´m so sorry about that :( you now a love the animal too! and yes the life some time is injuste, but at least she left his little baby to remember her and while your friend here wanted very sure and take good care of it. Despite this he must be very sad, sorry for him.

Yeah I was feeling the same, but as the saying goes "hope is the last thing you lose" and I have to confess that when I get the part of the Bond scene I half got nervous, like OMG! Could Be here! But NOUP :(

Anybody watching Murray/Federer match? I'm in Roger's corner, but won't be upset if Andy wins. He has never won a Grand Slam so far, and now to win Olympics against Roger Federer in front of his own public would be a great achievement for him. But if Roger keeps serving as he does so far, it won't be easy for Andy.

Polen and Sweden were nothing too exciting so far, unfortunately. Polen got its firts two gold medals two days ago, Sweden won its first gold today. Well, few days are still left.

I watched the match Federer /Murray .. was a fab match and Murray played great and won in 3 sets omg ! I am a huge fan of Federer ( pure stylist in total chilling / relaxed way of playing : THE reference in tennis ! his shots are very academic and he can do anything but if he is not right IN the match he can just become a lil inconstant ) but even though he played really fab today .. he made more mistake than Murray , was never really 100 % in and was pushed back court what is not good for him . Murray was a level over Fed today .. as a match in 3 sets .. Fed is used to 5 sets and could have won the 3d set as he came more at the net and was beginning to be the great showman we know .. good 1st serve, serve/volley, good passings , great on line shots, great volleys, great touch, great one or 2 smashes ;) , great slices , great lifts , great turning around the backhand, .. but too many "in the court shot"s for some ( safety ) . Was a fantastic match and like you say, Murray was in his garden and he made it easy ( score ) and even if he had to fight a bit was " IN HIS POCKET " ! Congrat the UK !!!.. Murray has struggled years after years and his victory is so much deserved . Federer you are vice Olympic champ at least and well , this title you miss again just like Roland Garros but you are the most rewarded champ on earth ! Congrat to both players oi oi !!

Good match, great at some points. It was clear that Roger really wanted to win - it might have been his last shot at wining the Olympic gold (he won Roland Garros in 2009 - there he was clearly the master teaching Söderling how to play). Well, what goes around comes around - he deprived Roddick of his (probably) last chance at becoming Wimbledon champion, now Murray deprived him of his (probably) last chance at Olympic gold. ;) Ok, I'm kidding, but I doubt Federer will have a shot at winning Olympics 4 years from now. It's possible he won't be even playing anymore.

But Andy is is clearly improving. He has just won with Djokovic and Federer, Nadal's situation is not clear. Perhaps his time is coming? In any case, he deserved to win today. Congratulations to him.
